I had to buy a second dog soilencer as my neighbours dog found a place in the garden to hide,
Bernard O.
Has worked well to keep the neighbor’s dogs from barking in the night
Rodna B.
I live by a road and big trucks set it off, so she's not paying a lot of attention to it. Hasn't really stopesD her barking any ideas?

Hi, my next fence neigber's dogs like barking during midnight for some years. I tried all I can do , but not good result. I am so glad that you creat this dogs sileance max. I believe it is working, but still need to improve it. It is hard to find good spot to instill. My husband tried three spot. near my roof, the three, the fence....I have to adjust it during midnight. I think it need expend wider, because dogs always can run another corner barking. We tried a litter far away, but no strong wave. We tried on the fence, but can limit cover area.....I hold the Max to barking dog three miters, they run away two miters and still barking back. The dogs are Germen Shepherd, big and strong. So I may need a stronger ultrason. thanks! Let me know some things new. Also, could you built a button that we can choose working night only. I bought Max but thinking a week to use, because I do not care if dogs barking daytime.
Ronald M.
The product "looks" good and seems to have good features. Originally, we thought it was working. However, problem neighbor dog is still barking. It has been over two weeks. We moved the device even closer to the dog's location with a good field of view. Not sure if it made a difference. Willing to keep trying for a while longer, but not satisfied yet.
Brock M.
Unfortunately my neighbor's dog was unaffected by this product. Refund requested
Robert V.
It works wonders with my neighbors dog, when I am available to work the remote. It has no effect when I don't use the remote, even when the dog is only 25 - 30 feet away from the unit.
Jose P.
Our dogs would bark at every human or human with a dog that walked by. After 2-3 tries my dogs learned not to that anymore!
Alyssa S.
My dogs didn't care for the noise at all. They still kept barking regardless of the noise. If my dogs weren't so stubborn this would have worked.
Hayes C.
Received the unit and it worked great and with immediate effect. Unit stopped working the next day for some reason, but I contacted customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement before even receiving my return. Replacement unit works great and immediately and completely stopped my neighbor's dogs from their constant barking. The product is good and customer service is excellent - a rarity in today's world, would recommend highly.
Svetlana M.
Set the device with clear view of the area without any walls but still didn't stop my dog from barking. Tried this device for at least 2 weeks and no change. This product is not cheap and should work better.
Kyle C.
Unfortunately it did not faze the intended dog. I used every setting to include the remote and the dog continued to bark without any response to the unit. I even bought the mount so I could try different positions still with negative results.
Michael D.
Seems to work with the barking, but it super sensitive to all noises, not just barking. Not sure how effective it will be if it's always getting triggered.
Marlin T.
Hardly ever hear the dog barking anymore. Peace and quiet
Mark W.
Did work for me, it's been about 3 weeks and the neighbors dark still drives us nuts with all his barking. I have the unit pointing right at their house about 25' away, doesn't work.
Chris H.
Our neighbor across the street - 220 feet away - got a black lab that sat out all day and barked at everything that moved. We bought the Dog Silencer Max and mounted it to our front porch aimed at the dog. Within a couple of weeks the dog stopped barking. Then, it disappeared altogether, we don't know why. Our next-door neighbor has a 2 year-old German Shepherd that has a huge bark and although it wasn't out barking all day, when it did come outside it would bark so loud that it often woke us up from a sound sleep. I moved the Dog Silencer to the back of the house and aimed it at the neighbor's backyard, within 1 day the dog completely stopped barking. In fact, it got so quiet I thought that dog disappeared too. More than a week went by and then I realized the dog was actually outside, just not barking. That dog hasn't barked more than 5 or 10 barks in the past two months. It's like a miracle. Now, the neighbor on the other side recently got a big dog that also has a loud bark. These neighbors mostly keep the dog inside but they have their windows open in the summer and the dog barks so loudly that it sounds as though it's in the back yard. We are buying another Dog Silencer Max for that side of the house and we'll see if it can train the dog in our neighbor's house! I'm betting it will. The Dog Silencer Max has saved our summer and our sanity. I have read that it doesn't work as well on yappy dogs, but it has worked very well on the bigger, loud dogs in our neighborhood.

Don’t helping too much I have almost one month or I don’t see too much difference I will try another month if don’t work I will return back Thank you
Larry D.
My dogs barking has decreased in short time I have had Dog Silencer Max.

Once I set the sensitivity, it seemed
To start working right away. Very
Happy about dogs not barking all the time.

I've talked to the owners on several occasions and they did nothing. Their dog broke my wood privacy fence and I had the police go over to chat with them as well (in my state it would be a civil matter but I wanted the officer to let them know that "officially"). And the Dog Warden has been over there for wellness checks. Plus the other neighbors have called the police about the nuisance barking on multiple occasions and the police have "warned" them. Ironically the dog is easier to train from my yard with the Ultimate Bark Control than the humans are from multiple visits from officials about the same issue.
The training is kinda slow and you have to be consistent if you use the remote only as I do. It also requires patience (this is not an immediate fix). It even works on cats. This is a god send when its obvious "bored barking" (you know, that repeat bark that is just annoying) and of course when they bark at me or my cat or dog. They've learned to hush when I come outside instead of the crazy bark feast it used to be. I do not want to train their dogs not to bark when its OK (ex. someone at their door, car pulling in the driveway, etc.) so the remote has been very helpful with that aspect. I don't have it secured as I take it and place in different areas as needed and only use the remote function. Yeah its more expensive than some things but it works. Even dogs three houses down can hear it in my situation and shush so its a huge win in my opinion!
I love animals and have several of my own. My dog is not allowed to bark like a wild dog and he knows it. I've spend a lot of time on his training. I am not a fan of obnoxious owners who cant be bothered. Thank you Dog Silencer for designing something that actually works. I just wish it worked on the obnoxious human owners too! LOL!
Kenny K.
Dogs still bark. Will relocate and if no better results will send back for a full refund.
David B.
My dogs bark at our neighbor whenever he comes out. He doesn't like it much so I bought the Dog Silencer. As far as I can tell, it does nothing. I have it pointed to the area where they run to bark at him, but I don't really see any change. I'll keep trying it, maybe over time???
Jeffrey Z.
I bought a home in a nice quiet nature-filled neighborhood at the peak of insane real estate prices and was extremely dismayed to discover my next door neighbor had an insane dog that would absolutely lose its mind barking at things it saw in the backyard. Every night after dinner they would let the dog out and almost without fail the dog would start barking for like 20 minutes straight and at times sounded like it was dying. Poor thing. It never occurred to my neighbors that it might be to the dog's benefit to teach it not to bark. I'm happy to report though that the dog silencer was up to the task. On max setting it was a little too sensitive and I was concerned non-bark noises could set it off and degrade the effectiveness of the training. So I lowered the sensitivity somewhere around 25% to 50% and that seemed to do the trick. I haven't heard the dying dog sound since. Maybe one or two barks every now and again. But now it's quiet after dinner. The dog silencer is amazing! I only wish I had known about this before because this is not the first annoying dog I've dealt with.
Raymond T.
Have it hanging out and facing my neighbors yard for the last 2 weeks and haven't seen much improvement as of yet, will give it some more time and hope for some resolution...
Kenneth H.
Instant relief! I was not expecting results that fast. These dogs would act like they wanted to kill us through the fence. We could not even be in our back yard. We set up our controller about fifteen feet from them. They barked at us, spun in circles, ran the other way! Nearly 100% instant results! Worked all weekend near the fence, slept every night. Amazing

I have 2 dogs - chihuahua and a jack Russell - both breeds are about the worst offenders for yapping!
Everytime Id leave my chihuahua would start yapping
Ever since I purchased the product it has stopped I haven’t had neighbour complaints it’s fanstastic
Bárbara G.
The has stopped my dogs and the neighbors dogs from running the fence line barking ! I’m so happy with the product. I took it to my sisters for her dogs she can’t wait to order one too!
Arnold G.
Our neighbor's five dogs bark loudly from a front gate that is located no more than just a few feet from our window. They also bark through a fence into our backyard. We can never have enjoy our backyard anymore the way we did before these neighbors moved in last year. You can hear the dogs barking throughout our home and the dogs bark day and night sometimes. We purchased this product because it claimed to be one of the best on the market and because of the high price, we felt, "You get what you pay for." and was expecting a device that would be effective. This is not only difficult to install and operate, but it is completely ineffective in even deterring any of the dogs from barking. My wife and I are completely dissatisfied with this product and really wish we could just get our money back.
Vincent B.
I built a metal "harness" out of flat alumium strips from Home Depot so that I could hang it on the neighbor's side of the wall right where the dogs like to stand by their gate and bark.
It is plain view and so I told the nieghbor what it is and why it is there. I had spoken to him on seveal occasions and told him that I would resort to this and he was Ok with it.
I must have gotten very lucky with the sensitivity setting. The 3 dogs stopped barking within days. I'm talking less than a week.
Sometimes you could hear where they forgot and then it was only a bark or 2. A few times they were testing how loud they could bark - pretty smart dogs - but soon gave that up too.
For a while the dogs would go to the other side of the yard and bark. We don't have that now either.
We can't tell they even have dogs now. So either the neighbor finally took me seriously or this thing worked like magic. I'm leaning toward the latter.
Michael P.
We live in a tight neighborhood and there is only 5 feet between property lines and houses on the sides. For four years we have had troubles with these neighbors and their barking dogs. The dogs are large dogs and get no exercise and are not walked. At the same time they are cooped-up in a small yard. This leads to really bad barking. They would look into our master bedroom and bark when they saw movement at night. Earlier we were never able to open the windows.
The owners believe their dogs have a right to bark and we do not have a right to sleep. We were preparing a lawsuit against our neighbors which would be quite expensive. I thought I would try "Ultimate Bark Control" (UBC) before getting into the cost and more grief with this neighbor.
I eventually used two UBC devices, one facing toward the front of the yard and the other facing toward the back and center of the yard. Only one unit worked modestly, but these two were like magic. No barking and it is amazing. Our bedroom window is now open at night to let in fresh air.
I am now using a higher current 9V AC/DC adapter to be able to power more than one unit from house electrical power. I had to string a 9V DC power line to the UBC units. Earlier I used rechargeable NiMH batteries and changed them every two weeks. But since the installation of the second unit, and with such favorable results, I made the installation permanent and provided a more permanent power source.
Brad H.
This works. 95% of the barking has stopped.
Roy Q.
The product doesn’t work, is a waste of money, you guys need to come up with a system that sprays water when the dogs bark, that would train dogs in minutes not weeks like you expect the ultrasonic system might do, but this might work for some small dogs or something but it doesn’t work for hound dogs or shepherds, don’t buy this product or any ultrasonic system.

5 dogs within 12' of my deck: next door decided THAT was the best place for their dog yard!!! So for the last YEAR, DCO has written countless tickets to them: EVERY TIME I exit my deck door or front door, I WAS GETTING BARK-BLITZED!!! Property owner's new gf was weaponizing the dogs as a means of manipulating me!!! Owner was more responsible but he even continued to allow it.
I am a LICENSED WILDLIFE REHABILITATOR; I run a wildlife HOSPITAL out of my home. Ppl would bring me injured/orphaned animals & I COULDN'T TALK TO THEM TO FIND OUT ANYTHING BECAUSE OF ALL THE LOUD INCESSANT BARKING!!! It became BEYOND ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY TOLERABLE.
Enter the DOG SILENCER MAX!!! I installed it right on my deck rail w/screws, & hard corded the power supply, on June 2nd. It has a high-pitched audible switch that indicates when the unit is actually working, so I switched that ON so I could gauge when & for how long it was emitting the ultrasound; deliberately done so I could gauge how to reposition wildlife caging. On June 6th, police showed up in my yard, insisting on an explanation for the "strange tone" coming from my house...they had received a complaint!!! Sure enough, it was next door, INSISTING THE POLICE SIEZE THE UNIT!!! I explained the entire situation to the Officer, SHOWED HIM the unit & the box it came in, then referred him to the DCO & her OVER 100 TICKETS written in the last 12 months, for BARKING. He smirked, told me if I had any further problems, to call the station house, & left. The next day I switched off the indicator tone... it's been working in ultrasound ever since... They were BEYOND RIPSHIT next door... Over the next week, the gf made repeated calls to DCO & Police, insisting the unit was MAKING THE DOGS BARK, CAUSING THEM TO GO DEAF, DAMAGING THEIR BRAINS... along with repeated threats to file lawsuits against all the Town officials, the Town itself, & me. To date, NONE have been filed, & the Police now know that essentially the neighbors called the Police on THEMSELVES!!! The Unit IS WORKING AS DESIGNED & I have 90% of my PEACE & QUIET BACK!!! THIS UNIT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!
Don B.
I’m only 50 feet away and I had some cheaper ones but they didn’t help so I paid the money for an expensive one and it doesn’t work either. No matter whethernn be I use the remote or just the unit the dog continues to bark all the time. I am so disappointed

the nieghbor has a poodle and it is kind of dum or just don't care if it's ears hurt.
has slowed down sum may take a while for stubern dog.

I knew it was going to be a gamble and I'm willing to give it more time, but it really isn't working for our neighbor's Aussie-mix dog. I think nervous and needy dogs, who are compelled to announce themselves and complain if they aren't the center of attention, are going to ignore this kind of training. I think barking is just too ingrained. I'll keep trying, because I have it set up in a perfect location for detection, but I fear my return wind will close before there's any noticeable reaction on the dog's part. So frustrating.
Mindy D.
I have to be honest and say I was prepared to have wasted my money on another bogus device. However, my new neighbor's dogs were barking consistently for 7hours straight all through the night (not an exageration folks) even causing my Golden Retriever distress at bedtime. I was at my wits end, having called animal control and the police several times. Nothing changed. Until I got this little savior in the mail. We hooked it up and even though the directions stated 2-3 weeks for results, I saw them that night. We tested it out on my dear pupper ( she got lots of biscuits after) and it worked, she could hear what we could not. I have had this baby in the garage window, pointing at the neighbors dog kennel for over a month now. We can all get a good night's sleep. Don't get me wrong, dogs should be able to bark, but these two huskies next to us were whining and barking at a pitch that would shatter glass. The one pitchie dog will still whine and bark in moderation but it is definately WAY quieter than he used to be. This devise is well worth every cent and I am 100% satisfied. If you're neighbor's dogs are affecting your family's quality of life, buy this today. You won't be disapointed!!!!
Jim L.
I needed to learn how to use the unit. Once I did, it started working well for correcting bad barking behavior. You need to follow the directions for sensitivity. I prefer the Dog Silencer Max for distance. Use the Audio setting until you dial down sensitivity. You only want this producing sound after a bark, not other noises. Audio setting allows you to hear it as well as the dog. After you have sensitivity just right, move the switch to ultrasonic. Now only the dog hears it and not you. You should see the LEDs blink when it is activating. I bought two of these. One inside the home where the dog is most of the time, and one for outside where she is most of the time. The outside one I use solar for keeping it active, and use the AC power adapter for inside. I bought a silicon cover (I think it is silicon) in the hope it will protect from the heat of direct sun, where the outside one is placed.
Taylor M.
It doesn’t seem to stop my dogs from barking. It says it can take up to 3 weeks but still doesn’t seem to deter them from barking…
T. S.
It was having an effect until the tree leaves came out this spring.
Roy r.
Complete pain in the butt. Was considering a bullet, but this device saved me....
Clarissa D.
It did not work. Whenever my dogs barked there was no indication that it was "activated" nor did it help to lessen the amount of barking from my dogs.

The neighbor's dog was barking non-stop for 10 hours when I put this up a small stick in the air and attached it to the fence and turned it on automatic the animal was not interested in parking after about a week it was very quiet and peaceful in our neighborhood again it is worth the purchase and it is very effective
Sycamore Hill H.
my neighbor has seven, yes 7 quacking pomeranians and it does not help unfortunately. I thought spending this amount of $$ it would at least put a dent in the barking/quacking.
Dan C.
No difference at all. I was concerned that maybe the device didn’t sense the dog barking (as the neighbor walked it by our house within 15 feet of the box) so I’ve pushed the button on the remote, which I’ve tested, and still nothing… the dog keeps barking, without even a pause.
Dave B.
Bought a home and moved in to find the next door neighbor has 2 big dogs whose favorite game is to out-bark the other. My daughter recommended this device which she successfully used at her home. I got one and mounted it on the side of my house approximately 30 feet from the neighbor’s chain link fence. It seemed to help initially but after a few weeks not so much. I checked it and found the batteries died. After installing new ones it definitely is helping. I think I need the power cord extension.
Richard B.
Our mastiff barks incessantly. We have used bark collars but the prongs irritate her neck. I bought this product as a last alternative. Failed miserably. She heard the sound, tilted her head and went on barking. Save your money. Didn’t work!
Glenn M.
Worth every penny!!! Finally have peace and quiet. Best investment ever!!
Breck A.
Works. Like the remote. Expensive
Milbern D.
My neighbors have two very annoying German shepherds that act like we are trying to hurt someone. They react to visual as well as just hearing a door shut when go outside to water plants or check mail. The neighbors simply don't care .After talking with them I purchased this product and put on our tree/property line , it seems to help but I wonder should I put two and is there a way to make it louder . These dogs are ignorant, the neighbors moved in 4 yrs ago and they still act as if we are out to get them , but like I said it has helped but for the cost I was hoping for something a little more effective. Thanks
Jon H.
Installed on June 8, 2022 so not sure if it's working as the dog still barks if we are outside and it can see us in our yard. Unit was placed on our deck facing neighbors at height an unobstructed as directed. We will give it a few more weeks before possibly returning based on warranty. Would love for this to work as it is awful trying to enjoy our newly landscaped patio and yard with our new pool and deck when a dog just barks for hours on end. Sadly we have lived here 35 years and these people moved in last August and it has been a nightmare.
Amanda O.
Love the remote! We turn the mic off and use the two remotes we bought to activate the device when the dogs are barking. That way we don't catch any noises like other neighborhood dogs, animals, or construction noise.
Shaun M.
I purchased the device in the hopes of stopping my 2 pugs from barking at the neighbours when they are outside walking around in their yard. The pugs can see them through the fence and start barking immediately.
I'm made sure the device was pointed in their direction and is quite close (within 10 meters) but they don't seem to notice anything. I've tried the hand held device as well and again they don't seem to notice it at all. I'm assuming my dogs just don't care about the noise and will have to look at other options. I knew it might not work and it was worth a try.
Natalie T.
THIS THING WORKS!! Our neighbors have several 'outdoor only' dogs which bark for HOURS at a time almost every day. There is no noise ordinance where we live, so the police won't do anything. We installed the box on a pole one foot behind our fence facing the neighbor's property and on day 10 we started noticing a difference in the barking. We've now had it up for one month and it's cut the barking down by 80% which is DRASTIC considering the barking went on for 2-3 hours almost every day. When the dogs do bark it goes on for maybe 15 minutes then stops. That happens maybe twice a day now which is HEAVEN compared to what we were living with. I only wish I found this thing sooner!
Jenine W.
I was so distressed not only for my neighbours but for my dog and her distress! Within a few days my neighbours came to me telling they hardly even knew she was there and this coincided with my using this product with her. I hate leaving her but have no choice so I’m so happy for this product to provide a solution for my neighbours and my dog.
Mike C.
I bought this product a few months ago. Kind of a let down in my case.
First, the good:
The mounting of this product to the side of the house, in order to provide line of sight over the fence is simple, solid and very effective. On the device, setting the sensitivity using the audible setting was easy and intuitive.
The bad: when the sensitivity is set high enough to trip the device when the neighbor’s dogs bark, some ambient noises (I.e AC units kicking on) also cause it to go off. This is unfortunate because I was really hoping the device response would’ve been more filtered to pick up only barking.
The ugly: it only worked temporarily. I was super excited and thought I had the problem licked after over two long years of intermittent, incessant barking. But much to my disappointment, the neighbor’s dog got used to it after a few, gloriously quiet weeks and went right back to her old self. They have three dogs but in all fairness it’s really just the one that is the problem. I didn’t even realize they had three for the longest time!
I have verified proper line of sight over the fence using a laser, and fiddled with the sensitivity. It seemed like it worked better in the ‘audible’ setting, I may go back and see if that helps. Other than that, I am a little bummed it wasn’t a permanent solution.
As for any recommendation, all I can say is ‘results may vary.’ If you buy without the same high hopes as I did, you may be less disappointed if it does not work.
Monticello L.
It has yet to stop the dogs, in fact they don't even seem bothered by it. Even when using the fob, but they are very aggressive dogs so we're giving it time.
Jewell A.
Weather has been so hard that the dogs are not out so I’m not sure it’s working.
William K.
My neighbors dog is in a kennel on the other side of the fence. I placed the dog silencer max on the top of the flag pole on the left. That is the only way I could get a line of sight between the silencer and the dog. It kind of works but does not pick up the dog barking most of the time. I have to use the remote. Do you have any suggestions to improve its performance. I eventually turned the dial all the way up but it still does not detect the dog barking. I took it down and tried the clapping test. It only activates within about five feet, beyond that it does not pick up my clapping. I want to say the dog is barking less but at times he does not stop.
Buddy F.
So far dogs have not been barking at there shadow or anything else like they were before I would recommend to anyone looking for a product for the same problem of dogs barking day and night
Jon P.
I didn't stop the dogs at all... and I bought 2...
Tina B.
I have 3 large dogs whom I wanted to keep away from the front for when it was open so I placed the bark box approximately 2-3’ away from the door and sitting on an end table in hopes that the dogs would stay away but no matter which position I placed it in, it had no effect on their behaviors.
Valerie M.
it does not affect them, they still bark
Vincent N.
The device is too sensitive to wind which constantly set off falsely. I had to return it.
Anna L.
My 2dogs we’re barking at every little thing and the neighbors did as I had to move them to the side yard and they weren’t used to seeing them all the time. Haven’t heard a bark since I plugged this device in!!! Very pleasantly surprised.
Colleen R.
The neighbors Beagle will no longer bay next to my fence. Unfortunately he still bays in their backyard, side yard and inside the house through open windows. If I had the money I’d buy 2 more devices to surround their property. It might work better. It’s definitely a line of sight device. We’re thinking about just moving.
Tom L.
great product stopped the neighbors dog from barking. product exceeded my expectations
Kim H.
So far this thing is a lifesaver. I WILL say, we live on a city block, where about 6 yards converge in one area, with lots of fences between. We mounted ours from a 2nd story-patio pointing down into an adjacent yard where two VERY territorial dogs reside in the backyard. The owners let them randomly run in and out for every little noise they year through the doggy-door to bark for HOURS. The device is quite sensitive, I have to keep it turned down almost as low as possible so it doesn't go off randomly (in audible mode), for every little sound it picks up. But it does go off for the dogs, and it does seem to work on them because they'll immediately whine after 3 barks and then circle the backyard before heading back indoors. No more barking at every single neighbor for simply opening a door, or LOOKING OUT A WINDOW DOWN AT THEM, or even seeing a silhouette behind A CLOSED CURTAIN. YEESH. Very happy with this device, just wish it wasn't SO sensitive considering the dogs are close proximity and we're in a louder-than-usual-living-situation, also wish the AC Adaptor had a sliiiightly longer cord.
David H.
The device seems to inhibit my two dogs, but only when they’re in direct line-of-sight to the device. They still bark at every passing dog, bicycle, kid, but not as much.
The downside is that the device is triggered by all sorts of noise, which seems to punish the dogs for nothing.
Michael C.
Let's start by saying this device has helped somewhat...however - the wretched animals that live across the road continue to bark regularly at anything/nothing. Extremely disappointing as my family feels this was a real game-changer and for it to produce such limited results over many weeks of 'training' means we're not thrilled. Having said this, we have little else in the way of options so will persist with it, seeing if we can continually change where the device sits in order to target the dogs better.
Unless you can place this device within absolute clear LOS and a short distance of the accursed animals that bark it's of little real use.
Bob H.
I was suffering from the constant yapping of a Jack Russell that my neighbour owns, they bought the dog and just let the young daughter chase it around making it bark, I had asked them to try and keep the dog quiet but they did nothing, in fact it got worse, decided to try and fix the problem myself and purchased the dog silencer. I live on 1.5 acres so there is lots of trees and bushes between the houses, I mounted it high up pointing directly at the area where the dog made the most noise, it took only about 1 to 2 weeks to shut the dog up, I now have my peace and quiet back.
It still barks but shuts up very quickly, as it remembers why it shouldn’t bark.
This device is absolutely fantastic, wish I had researched and got one sooner.
Can highly recommend this device, and the company who sell them. Don’t put up with peoples untrained dogs, who don’t care. Get a dog silencer today.
Allen A.
It has helped a little bit !!!!!

Yellow lab stays out all night next door barking , this has slowed or even stopped the barking all together.
janet D.
Well it does work. However, one of my dog is a barker the other is not. And it unfortunately spooks the one that doesn't bark. Usually, all I have to do now is threaten him with putting on the machine and it usually quiets him. Which is all I want from him - is quiet!
Breck A.
Expensive but we needed distance. Works well when dogs are visible. We use AC to save batteries. Some Dog people are very inconsiderate not training dogs for life in neighborhoods. Why do some dog people not hear the annoyance. These people on both sides do not walk their dogs. They stay outside all day and bark at everything. Thanks for giving me some sanity
Sarah A.
We purchased this item to silence the neighbor's dog. It was easy to set up and worked immediately. The amount of barking has been greatly reduced and we are able to do yard work without the constant noise. Bliss.
Dave M.
NON stop barking from Sun Up to sun down. Now not even a whimper and if so lasts only 1.5 barks and that is great. This Machine is great, even works on dogs over 400' away, just push button when need to and they shut up. Where have you been all my life.!
Justin M.
Doesn't work worth a damn been having 3 weeks wasted money
Eric P.
The neighbors dog continues to bark when just a few feet from it. We have it set at max. Everytime the dog barks, the green light comes on, but the dog continues to bark. Feel like this was a waste of $$. Have had it for several months and it has not stopped the issue...
Glen C.
Check back in a few weeks.
Neighbor Dog is a Husky. May be extended learning..note worthy
He can definitely hear it!
And it's not a happy reaction.
Let's see how it stands up to the Elements. Long term.

I expected several days for this device to be effective. It worked right out of the box! Not only the dog right next door but the dogs(yes…3 dogs) two houses east and across the street have become very respectful with the barking.
Thanks for making a product that does exactly what it’s touted to do!
Jennifer P.
My dogs were completely unaffected regardless of audio or sensitivity levels. We’ve spent a lot of money on products to stop barking and were hoping this would be the magic solution based on the reviews. Unfortunately, we can add $150 to the total amount spent trying to get my dogs to even tone down their barking.
Steven P.
Not working great. Seems to be triggered by ANY sound.

We read the reviews and seemed promising but as always, you think that you are the ones that it won’t work for. Let me tell you, our neighbors started out with 5 dogs and now have close to 30. When one starts barking or howling, every one joins in until it sounds like Call of the Wild. We installed the Dog Silencer after selecting the right spot. Attached the optional mounting bracket to a gutter downspout and aimed it right at the kennels. They picked up after a day that symphonic barking will no longer be acceptable in this neighborhood. You can almost see the dogs working it out in their minds….”if I bark, that irritating noise begins. And when I stop barking, the irritating noise ceases.”
Sometimes they need a little extra encouragement; and that is what the remote is for. Press the button…..3 more barks….then silence. It doesn’t stop them from barking completely but the 2:00am bark-fest and 5:00am howling choir has been eliminated. Now we can sit in our sun porch and watch television at volume 12 instead of volume 93. Our other neighbors have come over and commented on why is the entire block so quiet? We just smile and say, Dog Silencer.
It is a little pricey, but worth every penny! It has been up for 2 weeks and the change has been immediate. There are other units out there which are less expensive, but don’t throw your money away. You get what you pay for.

Unfortunately it just did not work for our neighbors very annoying dogs.

We have two 3 year old dachshunds, who are sooo barky. We have tried bark collars, clickers, training etc. Not effective. We have been using this bark deterrent device for a couple weeks and I see such an improvement. I seem to have difficulty setting the sensitivity level? It's a work in progress. When I'm around I tend to use the remote. All in all things are going well and I hope to see continued improvement.

No change in amount of barking after several weeks of use

My dog does contain its barks more, but still barks far too much. This thing is right inside the house with her. It doesn't seem to matter at times.

It works great. I press the remote 3 times on the Ultra setting and they quiet right down. The owners never told them to stop barking, but they do now. They know when I have the device out because of the dog’s reactions. Great product.

Cute pair of little dogs moved in behind us. They are very vocal and would instigate our big dogs to a brawl at the fence. It had gotten so bad we hated going outside. We mounted the Ultimate Bark Control on the back of a shed pointing toward the fence and used the remote control when they barked. Within a week the dogs would only scratch at the fence and now, not even that. A quick push of the button reminds them and they scurry off. Our pups don't like it much either so they are not tempted to go engage at the fence. Thank you! We got our yard back.

Moved into a new neighborhood where the homes are on top of each other and with 2 outdoor labs I was very nervous. After a couple of short days we have perfect days and nights of no random barks. And the first couple of nights it was only a couple of barks for which we activated the remote and quickly it was quieted. This device has completely exceeded my expectations. Thanks for helping us with the transition to the new neighborhood.

Neighbors Chihuahuas barked almost all the time they are in the back yard. After watching some videos I ordered the Dog Silencer Max. I does work, there is large reduction in the constant noise. For the negative, the little sh!ts still bark more than I’d like, but now they bark for a little bit & shut up. All & all it’s better than it was. Would definitely recommend this…..just don’t expect a miracle.

I can't believe how well this works. I am a certified pet center and deal with nonsense barking I. My business of 12 years. This work so.well. I set it on low and after 2 barks the dogs are quiet. They go and lay down. Finally peace at last. I will be trying it on the neighbors dogs so ce they bark continually at times. But so far I am amazed and it was worth every penny. No more scolding or waking up at night. Thank you Good Life!!

After 3 months of service, installed following directions, this device has not helped a bit. I have tested the device manually with the remote to be certain it is functioning, which it seems to be, but not effective at stopping the barking. The neighbor's dogs bark just as much as before, if not more so. I had been so hopeful that spending more than competitive devices on the market, I would see results by now. I continue to be awakened early in the mornings, very annoying. The dogs bark whenever they are outside, for no apparent reason and for long periods of up to 10-20 minutes, until the owner takes them inside. When I am outside the house, I can hear them bark inside their house. Perhaps these dogs are deaf, or stupid; I wish they were dumb/unable to bark. At any rate, I wish I had not spent this money on this device, and spent on something else with some value.

We purchased two dog bark, we have dogs on both sides. It seems to work real well when the remote is used, not so well otherwise. It is plugged into electricity, the batteries ran out too soon. I would not purchase again. Didn’t work very well for the money.

I didn't have high expectations but it actually works. Doesn't completely solve the problem but definitely worth it, most of the time I just have to hit it once and the dog stops. I would recommend to not over use it and only use it manually

I have thin walls and my new neighbor didn't love the dogs barking with every little sound that our elevator or stairs made. So I got this device and it works very, very well. My dogs would bark and make noise every time I come home and use the elevator and now it's quiet. They are waiting quietly by the door and it's amazing. My neighbors are happy too.

Works way better than other products we tried. Within 2 weeks, there is such a change! Definitely worth the money, we can enjoy our yard again.

We were desperate to get two German shepherds and a smaller dog next door to stop barking. Our neighbors kept them directly below our deck and beside our pool, and they barked so loudly that we couldn't hear each other talk while we were in our backyard. We'd stopped using the deck and the pool altogether, and begun to whisper every time we went outside. As a last-ditch effort, we bought this dog bark machine. It took literally SIX MINUTES before both German Shepherds learned to stop barking. They still try it on, but when the deterring noise goes off they both stop immediately. We have since bought three more and we're going to situate them all along the fence line between our properties. THESE REALLY WORK.
